No 5.1 Encoding (DivX+AC3)

dont know if this is the right forum, but ist a sound problem i think so i will start ;)

my soundcard is soundblaster player live 5.1. till here no prob ;) 5.1 encoding works fine on original dvds and AC3-Files. but when i mux AC3 with DivX the soundcard is not able to encode 5.1 channels. is that a problem of the soundcard or did i something wrong? (hope so ;))

Well since you own a SB you may have to jump through a few hoops to make it work. So to answer your question...both are the problem more than likely. Have you searched the forum for help? We have discussed this for months.

So here is the solution:

It was a player problem. i installed powerdvd 4 (the previous was 3) and now every AC3-Stream will be found in every Movie (wich i was testing ;) ).
