I have authored 3 blu ray discs using this program. I take avi files and convert to mpeg2, then load them in multi avchd program for authoring and creating programs. Then i use Img Burn to burn the folders that MultiAVCHD created. They work well on my LG and Panasonic blu ray, but will not play on my sony bd360. One disc it says cannot play, the other two the screen goes black like its trying to play but never does. On the home screen of my BR player it actually shows the name of the first video title but just wont play. The manual says it should play BD-R. I posted this problem on sony BR forum and this was there response:

I'm sorry that your Blu-ray player BDP-S360 was not able to play all 3 self-created BD-Rs on your computer. Yes, I agree with you that the manual says it supports BD-R/RE media with BDMV authoring, but you might have missed out some important notes below.
Some BD-REs/BD-Rs,DVD+RWs/DVD+Rs,DVD-RWs/DVD-Rs,or CD-Rs/CD-RWs cannot be played on this player due to the recording quality or physical condition of the disc, or the characteristics of the recording device and authoring software. The BD-Rs recorded on a PC cannot be played if postscripts are recordable.
Also another important area where the file structure settings are need to be check over when using multiAVCHD software. I strongly recommend that you visit multiAVCHD support forum for help when using their software to author BDMV.

When I pick my media from the destination media menu, I always pick Blu Ray. Should I change it to AVCHD or AVCHD strict or does it really matter between them?
Also, how do I know if video has recordable scripts? or

If anyone has any suggestions on what I may be doing wrong.

I also have the Sony BDP-S360 and use multiAVCHD for the authoring, and have never had a DVD-R or DVD+RW not work correctly. Same with BD-R and BD-RE, they always play perfectly. Like you I select Blu-Ray as my destination.
I either use MeGui or BD-RB to encode my files though, and do not use mpeg2 but x264. My suspicion is your avi to mpeg2 AVCHD conversion is the problem and your Sony is complaining.

Thanks for response. I will give it a try. One question, can I use BD rebuilder to re encode my old disk with the x264 and reburn?

and should I burn my bd folders or should I make it img file and then burn?

BD-RB works with original Blu-rays to convert to movie only or full disc backups to DVD or BD media. If you have your old disk in Blu-ray format, (BDMV & CERTIFICATE folders) you could try. If this is a disk you created, and currently does not play properly, BD-RB cannot "fix" it.
If you are making a Blu-ray with your own files, it is important to make them AVCHD/Blu-ray compatible... 1920 x 1080, 1280 x 720, etc... Blu-ray players with AVCHD play back capabilities do not like out of spec resolutions.
It should not matter if you burn bd folders or image if you use ImgBurn.
