Hey there,

I've captured two raw avi streams (left and right eye perspective). As a result I want to generate a 3D BluRay, and I'm using Sonic CineVision to encode those two streams.

Until now I haven't had problems, but since I reinstalled Windows (and all associated tools I needed), CineVision crashes after the first few seconds of encoding.

I get the "Program doesn't react anymore" error without any further information on why the program crashes.

Do you have any suggestions?

Best regards and thanks in advance

PS: I'm using Win7 64-bit.

His question was legitimate, because if you indeed bought the software (and this is not a cheap one!), it would be obvious to contact the support in such case - which you had not mentioned at all.

Otherwise this would be rule #6 violation. So what exactly did the Sonic support tell you?

I work freelance for a company which does not have support contract with Rovi....I ask questions here. Even when they did have a support contract, id still come here for answers....faster and more knowledgeable users on this site.

Anyway....I wish I had an answer for your question :)

A couple of wild guesses:
* wrong version or absence of some library like Visual C++ redistributable pack, .NET framework
* you forgot to reinstall some necessary tool or plug-in, but kept its files intact folder etc. - problematic dll/tool/service/plug-in is called, but doesn't work properly due to absence of, say, dll registration or proper configuration in new windows enviroment
