hi I'm just wondering what do people exactly do for the second pass of the robshot method for the second pass?? I try to increase the avg bitrate or increase the min bitrate in the local bitrate setting but it doesn't get rid of the grey lines. How do I get rid of the grey lines in the graph??? Or is this not the point of the robshot method?? Could someone please write a mini faq explaining what exactly to do on the second pass of the robshot method for making svcds???? I know it makes the final video size smaller, but how do i make sure the quality is still good?? thanks

well I have a bit more of an idea of what is going on now! but it does take a long time to go through a two hour movie at ten second intervals.
Could someone please shed some light on what I am going to say. Okay let's just say I wanted to encode a movie at 2300 average video bitrate which takes about 3 cds and wanted it to reduce to 2cds. Wouldn't that mean that my average bitrate will have to go down? and won't that mean the quality will go down??? I know I can still increase the bitrate at the complex scenes but won't some of the other less complex scenes suffer then?? okay thanks
