How do I read VOB files with Premiere?

I've tried using the AviSynth Premiere plugin or VFAPI + MPEG2DEC.dll, but neither worked. There were a few other threads about this as well, but I none offered any answers...

Have you tried smartripper and ripping the dvd to your hard drive and then renaming the .vob to .mpg. Or frameserve through xmpeg4.2a using the (totally different from the dvd2avi,vfapi,tmpenc method) frameserving package from http://videotools.net/ This actually IS complicated but works perfect and it also frameserves the audio.
