Separating channel from FLAC file

Hello,

I have been trying to separating a 5.1 FLAC into 6 mono wav files. The usual way of wav channel splitting by converting to wav and the split didn't work because the final wav file too large.

I tried searching, but come up with no result.

It's not quite clear from your post whether you first attempted to convert to a single wave and then split or if even your splitted wave files would be too large. In the former case, try eac3to:
eac3to input.flac output.wavs
