Reference:
Windows 7 Pro
Intel SandyBridge CPU
DVD ReBuilder v.1.28.2 Pro
How can I solve this issue?
When installing DVDR on the above referenced system, I get the following error:
Component 'MSCOMCTL.OCX' or one of its [sic] dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.
Googling this error leads to a lot of links, mostly to forum posts on Major Geek. However, they are all or mostly rife with information that is either incorrect, not applicable, confused, or self-contradictory.
An accurate solution for the Windows 7 operating system is desired. Note there is no Run function available from the Start Menu on this system, although I am baffled as to why not, and I intend to look further for it. The last OS I was using, Win XP, had one.
