Does anyone know if you can open an .avs script with Tmpgenc Authoring Works?
I'm thinking in buying this program, but I need it to open Avisynth scripts.

you can't as far as i know but you can convert your avs script in a dummy avi (very small) file "avstoavi" i think it's called

see here: http://moitah.net/
edit:
Did i say it sounds like bad practice to me ? Oh well i just did

You'd be better to encode your script with hcenc imo (with dvd specs) and import the .m2v in tmpgenc authoring , you can use smart rendering (= no re encoding)

I just tried opening an avs with TMPGEnc Authoring Works 4 and it wouldn't do it.

If you are determined to get the avs output into TAW without rendering first, another alternative to Mounir's suggestion would be VFAPI converter. Instructions here (http://www.bubblevision.com/underwater-video/Vegas-YouTube-Vimeo.htm#VFAPIConv).
