Why in this latest version of BDRB is my CPU maxing out when re-encoding my movie only backups?Earlier versions seemed less intensive.
Specs:HP Z400 Workstation
24 gigs of DDR3 1333 ram
XEON quad core W3520 with HT turned on
Gigabyte HD6850 Graphics Card
Windows 7 Pro 64 bit
Thanks for your time!:D

It's supposed to, and it's a good thing. You want to get every bit of speed you can get, and maxing your CPU is how you do it. If you have the program set to its defaults you'll see that the priority for encoding is set to "Idle" -- that means that other processes can still run and take the CPU as it is needed, while never wasting available processor power. That is the most efficient way to handle it.

People are WEIRD! Some complain that encoder does not use all cores and some people like you cry when it uses all processing power available by your cpu.
