I have some files for sale on DVD, they are all my original work but I worry that they'll be copied or ripped. Is there any possibility to restrict copying from DVD? but only reading / playing? Thank you

Well, on a recordable (AKA DVDR) no. On a duplication factory you can try.
However, it appears that big names like Sony, Warner and Fox couldn't do it... what are the chances that you succeed? :)

is it possible to restrict copying files from DVD?If the file(s) abide by the DVD standard, i.e. are playable on a standalone DVD player, then the answer is No.
And this very site is dedicated to make sure this never changes.

If you are using DVD media only as storage for PC playback - you can try.
