need help in ffmpeg

ok i new i don't really know alot
i use it in windows 7 64bit

i download series 1.4gb and i watch it but i want to keep it small
x264 make it smaller but looks good
i search and i find ffmpeg but if there any other good programme tell me pls


the problem when i write -x264 --fullhelp or x264 --help
i got error Unrecognized option 'x264'
Failed to set value '--fullhelp' for option 'x264'

so
i can't see
any
-preset
-tune
-profile
options the programme have


i write this command in cmd
D:\ffmpeg\bin\ffmpeg.exe -x264 --fullhelp

what i do wrong ?

and how change profile to 4.1 or 4.2 it always be 3.1
CABAC how turn it on always ?

and if there best code for this programme to make series small with good quality pls write it

i use this
D:\ffmpeg\bin\ffmpeg.exe -i D:/ffmpeg/1.mkv -b:V 2m -bt 4m -vcodec libx264 -ac 2 -ar 48000 -ab 128k -acodec libfaacc D:/ffmpeg/final_video.mkv

i find it in other website but don't understand most of it
