Hello everyone,
I'm trying to get DVD RB 1.282 running in Ubuntu 12.04 (beta 2) under Wine 1.4 (latest stable ver.), but no success so far. When starting DVD-RB. I get the error: Can't load msvbvm60.dll. I tried a few older versions of DVD RB but it's the same.
I followed this guide: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/478357 (which worked under Ubuntu 10.04, wine 1.2) without any other hacking around as far as I remember. The guide describes how to copy several dll files into the windows/system32 dir including msvbvm60.dll. I copied all the files from my win-XP PC.
I double checked the msvbvm60.dll file is there. I also tried another downloaded copy, but still the same so the problem probably lies somewhere else.
Searching around I learned how to start the program with: wine Rebuilder.exe &> log.txt which generate a log file. The log file says: "fixme:service:scmdatabase_autostart_services Auto-start service L"ASPI32" failed to start: 3"
I do not have the aspi32.dll but I have the wnaspi32.dll.
If anyone has any hints or suggestions, please let me know.
Thanks.
