Need Help with mini DV Capture Software

A relative just bought a used laptop running Win 7 Premium and a used JVC gr-d347u mini DV camcorder.

I used a Firewire cable and hooked up the camcorder: Win 7 recognized it but there's no software to capture/upload his movies.

I searched for the original software, even on JVC's Web site, but found nothing.

Is there something free out there he can use? He is totally new to computers, so something easy to use would be nice.

windv but I am not sure whether it can work under w7 or 64b. anyway, most video processing programs have a dv import option.

I use WinDV with Windows 7 32 bit. Works easily and well:
