I'm hosting some videos online and playing them with the JW Player (http://www.longtailvideo.com/players/jw-flv-player/). I did the encodes in Megui, as I do for my offline encodes, and choose the x264 Unrestricted 1pass Const. Quality HQ profile with no target size.
It works on all platforms, all browsers for five or six people, but I have one person who says he cannot see the video. He's using Internet Explorer 9 on Windows 7 and the error message is "The video could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported". As everyone else sees it in IE9 and he can see YouTube videos in IE9 it sounds like an incompatible encode problem?
The encode settings read from Daum PotPlayer are below. Anyone have any ideas? As I left the profile on "Unrestricted/Autoguess" it looks like Megui selected AVC Main Profile Level 3.0. I can't believe that's not compatible with IE9 on Windows 7, is there anything here that looks like a problem for a progressive download mp4?
