need a little help with creating VCD's

I use Nero to make my VCD's, except the problem is that my DVD player, which says on the sticker in the front "Supports VCD's" doesn't recognize the cd, and says the tray is empty..

The VCD works with my Creative DVD Inlay card and plays on my TV in my room, but I'd like to watch the VCD's on a DVD player. Any clues on why this is happening?

are you talking vcds or svcds
dvd2svcd makes svcds not vcds

its also possible that your player wont play cd-r cd-rw
do some research at vcdhelp.com on your player
and check at your manufacturers site too

could also be your burn speed
burn at 4x max
that is if you are using dvd2svcd
