Hi,

I was testing DVD2SVCD a little lately and now I have a problem. I have several DVDs each with 4 episodes of about 30 minutes. I would like to try to put two episodes on one SVCD. Ripping and writing the episodes separately with DVD2SVCD was no problem with 2 single episodes I tested til now. I followed the FAQ and worked with SmartRipper to have all VOB-Files in one directory, edited the textfiles and when I tried active ripping I got the I/O 103 error after 100% of the ripping was done. As far as I know I could try DVDDecrypter but it won't let me choose 2 episodes, just all the VOB-Files (which would be 4 episodes). I know I can encode them separately and just burn the mpg-files with another program but I liked the way DVD2SVCD rebuilt the chapters from the DVD. Any way to get that with separate MPG files or another way for me to do this? Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated. By the way... from what I have seen til now, DVD2SVCD is one niiiiice piece of software.

1. Whats operating system are you using?

2. What are the sizes of the vob files before you combine them..and the sizes of the vob files after you combine them?

Hello chainsaw135,

>1. What operating system are you using?

OS is Win XP and I was ripping to a FAT32 partition.

Actually I didn't really combine them like copying them together into one file (if thats possible at all). What I did was following the steps described in the newbie FAQ (Q41: HOWTO combine/encode 2 disc DVD set as one movie). So I just renamed them after ripping. One thing was strange and that was that the second episode consisted of 3 vobs and the first one had the filesize zero. But that was how SmartRipper copied them so I didn't think much of it.
