Is there any timing information available with DV compressed frame data like MPEG-2 GOP header ?

Is it possible any VITC/ATC time information embedded in a frame along with Luma samples ?

AFAIK, on the PC, DV streams are almost always stored in an AVI container.

And AVI is CFR (constant frame rate), which means AVI uses a fixed frame-rate, specified in the AVI Stream Header.

Therefore you don't need timing info, such as timestamps. The time index of the n-th frame simple is n * fps.

Is it possible any VITC/ATC time information embedded in a frame along with Luma samples ?The recording date+time is usually preserved in the file. No idea how, but plenty of tools use it (e.g. to overlay date+time on video after capturing).

Thanks for the replay's, i would like to explore the DV more. Which is the standard for explore the DV codec. ?
Is there any SMPTE 12 M timecode is compressed in DV codec.?
Is there any VBI lines is compressed in DV codec ?
