Are there any freeware tools to mux for DVB with DVB Subtitles supported by DVB set top boxes?
I'm struggling to find anything other than Manzanita MP2TSME that muxes DVB Subtitles properly.

What would be your input format for such DVB subtitles?
People have asked about it in OBE-VoD (see link below) since we support scc insertion but nothing concrete ever happened.

I'm in the same boat as you, we've been using Manzanita to generate and include DVB subtitles in transport streams. I've yet to find any other tool to deal with them.

If you mean subtitle input format it can be anything, IDX, sup, srt, rtf, pac, 890, stl. Anything really. All I want is something that can multiplex DVB subtitles (For both SD and HD) which will crash my budget for this quarter. More and more clients are asking for VOD files without burnt-in subtitles.

You might be able to get VLC to create DVB subtitles from at least some of those formats.
