Please forgive my noobishness with X264 (cli/gui).
I have a nixeus fusion player (previously mediagate and others) and one issue I had with some xvid encodes (from certain scene encodes..mainly "LoL") was the audio being out of sync. Not sure why, but they were, I had to set my reciever to auto sync or manually adjust the audio delay...(sucks).... so I tried to do it my self and got an HD PVR and was able to encode via FFMPEG the easiest with all in one line arguments.
I recently noticed that the shows are now x264 and decided to research how to encode this with FFMPEG... I was able to progressively encode once again. However I came across multiple sites that stated not to use FFMPEG, but use x264 CLI or a GUI. I just started looking into this and so far i noticed they use AVS files and i tried RIPBOT... which works great, the quality is nice and its easy to use, but it only encodes what has been recorded so far, not progressively. I also noticed that it rips the audio first and then does the video, then muxes them together. I do however like the fact I can easily choose which level/profile i want with x264, which for FFMPEG is a not so easy and I believe the HIGHEST it goes is HIGH@3.0..
So can anyone assist me with a command line/avs script to encode progressively.... or is there a gui that builds the avs/encodes the file progressively???
any assistance would be appreciated...
