Layman's IVTC for Anime

I've looked around and seen things like AnimeIVTC, Decomb, etc. I'm just looking for a very simple solution to smooth panning judder that I get from some of my own DVD rips. Only for playback, don't need to do any encodes. All other aspects of the video are fine. The sources are 30p AVCs ripped from 24p DVDs using (let's assume) standard 3:2 pulldown. Interlacing shouldn't be a factor (p->p). I'm hoping to use the solution .avs directly in ffdshow's AVS plugin.
I realize this question has probably been answered countless times but I'm trying to stay real simple with this. Any help or links would be greatly appreciated.

Ok. Installed TIVTC & got it going with a tfm() tdecimate(mode=1). After trying that & many more combinations the source is much jerkier all around. Definitely not better. I assume this means that I made some very wrong assumptions about needing to IVTC at all?

Post a link to an unprocessed source sample with lots of motion. I assume the "beware" was to ensure that you aren't talking about rule 6 material.

Wow, still the same paranoia as when we butted heads 5 years ago? I don't think it was necessary to speak in code, @Cretin, you could have just said "Rule 6". @neuron2 @doom9 - As to that rule, which I do commend, it is being broken in nearly every post in the AnimeIVTC topic, http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=138305 . Clearly every screenshot they are putting there are from ripped fansubs. And yet I get singled out again! I don't mean to sound rude, but it is a bit of a double-standard I would say. I consistently feel like newbies are horribly bullied on this forum, and particularly me for some reason!
In any event I actually own the DVDs for this particular source, but the joke seems to be on me in that I'd have to read up on how to get an MKV into an "unprocessed source sample" and splice&dice it with no encoding experience. Unless someone would be so kind as to lead me in the right direction with that.

Hey, all I did was take a guess at what cretindesalpes was referring to! I didn't see any problem with your original post.

But now I do see a problem, because you said you have the DVDs but cannot make a source sample because you don't know how to cut an MKV. And of course you are violating rule 17 by publically discussing forum rules.
