I'm trying to author an SVCD made from a cap, I thought I had a handle on the whole TSCV thing and even followed doom's guide step by step, but when it comes to the menu-gen I hit a problem. For some reason when TSCV makes the jpg's of the menu it calls them seq-000000.jpg and so forth, but when it calls TMPGEnc it tells it took for seq-.*, so TMPGEnc can't find the images and the menu isn't made. Is there any way to fix this, I've only managed to get it to make one menu succesfully and I don't know what I did differently ??

You don't seem to have the latest version anyhow. This one doesn't use TMPGEnc anymore and seems to have some bugfixes.

Unfortunately I wish it was that easy, the only reason I switched it to using TMPGEnc is cause MPEG2Enc didn't actually tell me why my menu creation failed, where as the log in TMPGEnc did. It failed with both. The version is 0.84 release 2 (which as far as I know is the latest).

Here's the TMPGEnc log

Start: 09/02/2002 15:45:31
End: 09/02/2002 15:45:31
Dealing time: 00:00:00
-------------------------------------------------------------
C:\Program Files\DvdRipper\TSCV\matrix\temp.mpv
Format: MPEG-2 704x576 25fps MVBR 9800kbps
Video: C:\Program Files\DvdRipper\TSCV\seq\seq-
Audio: none

Result: File "C:\Program Files\DvdRipper\TSCV\seq\seq-" can not open, or unsupported.
Dealing time: 00:00:00
-------------------------------------------------------------

The pic files are in TSCV's SEQ directory, all that's wrong is the filename.

tmpgenc didnt work for me but mpeg2enc did
i think u have to install tscv into a directory without spaces cause mpeg2enc seems to screw up
try C:\TSCV
