Have MPC-HC show subtitles/closed captionings (CCs) from .MPEG-2 and .TS video files?

Hello.

I noticed VideoLAN Media Client media player v1.x and v2.0, and other players can play with subtitles/closed captionings (CCs) directly from .MPEG-2 and .TS video files. How can I do the same in the latest MPC-HC (e.g., v1.6.1.4081)? I do not want have to extract these texts into a file (e.g., SRT) to get them. I just want MPC-HC to play directly from these video files.

Files with CCs? Haven't seen any in the wild so far. Do you have links?I sure do. I just recorded a commercial and a TV show with closed captionings/subtitles for several seconds and tested in VLC v2.0.0.

You can't it's currently a VLC exclusive same as Teletext (yep you can record the teletext (videotext) stream and browse through it) and Teletext subtitles support in .ts ;)
