Hi
Until recently i dont think ive had an issue with the above external filter in MPC and the ffdshow decoder set to libavcodec.
Now if its in the filter list to run, unless i set it to disable x264 the video playback is choppy and it makes the sound stutter.
My CPU's arent doing any work at all during the stuttering, also it plays fine a lot of my MKV's without it. But some of my movies that ive watched perfectly well before have just gone awry!.
If anyone can point me to an up-to-date sticky or FAQ that wasnt from 2009 i would be really greatfull. I use both 32/64 bit MPC's and FFDShows and neither appear to behave any different.
Im win7 64Bit, 8GB RAM.
Im sure this is a simple one for someone far more competant than me with codecs, but after two hours of research and swearing i thought id ask the experts.
Cheers
Jules
