Easiest ipad settings(x264)?

Hi,

I would simply like to know what is the easiest settings for ipad compatability?

I'm currently using this for my embedded videos on my website:
x264 --preset veryslow --bitrate 1000 "in.avi" -o "output.mp4"

What is something like this that will work in Safari on ipad?

(i've tried megui, but it results in a garbage video with strange colours and flickering like a disco ball)

My kids depend on all their shows being playable on their iPads/iTunes/iPhones and I've found that requiring --level 3.0 leads to much better compatibility than the higher avc levels, while not substantially increasing the encoded size of appropriate (e.g., DVD resolution) video.
