Scenarist error on layout disc command

I click the layout disc button, it brings a popup that says, "succeeded!" and the physical layout appears optimized under the physical layout tab, but when I hit the OK button it gives me these errors and won't let me do anything but cancel:

Error : It is not possible to edit it until the end of downloading is confirmed.
Error: The physical file layout database access failed. Please set it again.

Does anybody know what these errors are referring to or how to fix them?

For anybody curious about these errors I can only add that I got around them by saving my project to another disk session within the same solution. I was then able to optimize and modify the physical disk file locations. Why? I don't know.
