View Full Version : Creating a BD with a string of videos w/o a Menu

I would like to select and include a string of blu-ray videos to be played w/o a menu on a BD - much like you can do in DVDShrink using the re-author feature. I can't see where BD-RB has that capability. I have been playing around with the tsMuxerGUI, both trying to join videos (m2ts files), or stringing playlists together (mpls files), but I cannot seem to create an output that includes the videos I want in a playable way. Is there a way to do this? Any advice, suggestions, instructions, etc. are very welcome and appreciated.
Is this already in the "Requested Features" thread for jdobbs to consider someday for BD-RB? Sort of a basic "Re-Author with no Menus" mode?

Is this already in the "Requested Features" thread for jdobbs to consider someday for BD-RB? Sort of a basic "Re-Author with no Menus" mode? I have plans for something similar. In my concept your would select any parts (even from different discs) and give them a short name -- and BD-RB would create a simple menu for playback. I'm even thinking about including DVDs in the sources -- so you could combine, for example, a complete season of a series (at DVD quality/resolution) into a single BD-25.
It may be a while, though.
In the meantime, you can do that now by first using MultiAVCHD to create a disc (that would usually be too large to fit on the target), and then run the result through BD-RB. I've done it for numerous sources.

Your description of a potential future BD-RB capability sounds absolutely terrific. In the meantime, I will look for MultiAVCHD and see if I can learn to use it. Thanks!
Update: downloaded, installed, played around a little bit, and I think I can handle this for my purposes just fine. Thanks for the great advice.
Update again: I have used MultiAVCHD a few times now with good results. It does what I need nicely. Thanks.
