Hi all,

so my old OS has become holey like some swiss cheese ad I finally had to reinstall/upgrade it to win 7

As we all know, jusr installing is never a problem, re-collecting and configuration your fav apps afterwards usually makes your day.

So I start with a fresh download of DGAVCIndexDI (dgavcdecdi2038) - I do not have a NVIDI nor I gonna buy one soon - defalte the archive and went through the "Registration Process".

But this fails so far. So I went to the DiAVC hompage and got the DiAVC1.2.2_normalversion.zip as recommended , unpacked all to the DGAVCIndexDI directory and lauched (as Administrator) the Registration tool.
When I entered the Key I got from DiAVC I click OK, but pushing either the "Register" or "Activate DiAVC v.1.2.2" does produce any action. It seems nothing happens at all.

When you try to use DGAVCIndexDI (also as Administrator) you'll always get the message: "Could not create DiAVC decoder"
DG's license file is present.

What am I missing ?

Looks like a DiAVC registration issue. Send an email to DiAVC about it.

The activation process for DiAVC is weird. When you click Activate it edits the file to turn it into an activated one. Make sure to activate and then register. This means that if you copy it somewhere you need to copy it after you activate it. DGAVCDecDi uses an older version from what I understand so you need to activate that one separately.

Also make sure your machine code hasn't changed. Mine has changed a few times (I am not sure what caused it, maybe a bios update) but it has always been quick and easy to get a new key.

I also un-check the option to prefer DiAVC in its configuration as it doesn't support 10bit and I prefer LAV Video for normal decoding.

edit: The DiAVC activation and registration never gives any feedback, even if you use the wrong key.
