At least partially due to its continuing store closures (with promises of new ones to open "eventually"), the Dish Network's Blockbuster franchise is not very subtly making an all out effort to both reduce and refresh its inventory. Go into one of the stores and you'll readily see what I mean - significant floorspace occupied by previously viewed Blu-rays and DVDs for sale at extremely low prices (e.g. Blu-rays at $5.00 each or two for $7.00, DVDs at 5 for $7.00) - and, if you're "into" the art of negotiating, as I've been for MANY years, you can even obtain brand new Blu-rays (including some retail versions) at $7.00 or so.

From what I've been told (But "never heard it from any Blockbuster management", so you didn't hear it from me), for the time being, any reasonable offer from any customer will likely be accepted...

Try something like that here in UK and you will likely get laughed at and told to go away

Or the staff will just look at you as if you are a bit thick and can't read. In UK the price tag means just that ..... thats what you pay, no negotiation

We are terrible at haggling in UK which is why we usually get royally ripped off for whatever they can squeeze out of us without making it too obvious we are being overcharged by far to much

I've tried it in shops and just get a very blank expression as if I speak a different language, or get told "huh, but thats what the price is, sorry"
