multiple movie files

I'm using DVD Decrypter to rip backup copies from recently purchased DVD's, and lately I've encountered a new problem (well, new to me anyway). The DVD contains multiple copies of the movie file, like 50 or more, and none of them decrypt properly. Some have the wrong running time (when I decrypt them the video file has the right running time but the sound file doesn't). Some have the right running time but won't decrypt (all the files stop transferring at around 43,000). I know the movie is on there somewhere, but I can't figure out where or how to copy it. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

DVD Decrypter may have problems defeating some newer copy protections. I now use DVD Decrypter running on top of AnyDVD HD (by checking "ElbyCDIO" in DVD Decrypter's Settings -> I/O tab) when I encounter such a problem; this should resolve it.

Thanks for the information. Unfortunately I have no idea what that means. I have a lot of experience with DVD Decrypter, but I don't know all its functions, and I've never used AnyDVD. It sounds like both programs are supposed to be running at the same time, but I don't understand how they interact. Is there a thread on this topic?

Jrip30 is no longer available. The FBI siezed the Megaupload site, and all the mirrors seem to be down as well. Any other suggestions?

There's a free version of DVDFab. Try running it in the background (not sure if the free version actually rips DVDs) to remove the copy protection and then rip the disc with DVD Decrypter (maybe using the settings mentioned above).

The ripping function of the regular DVDfab version is free. Just use this and drop DVDD.

Good advice. I haven't used DVD Decripter in years. I used to use it all the time, together with IFOEdit. Use DVDfab to rip,
ImgBurn (which used to be part of DVD Decripter) to burn, and maybe DVDShrink to make it smaller. Still haven't needed
to use JRip.

With DVDs that show multiple titles I've usually had success picking the right one to rip by playing the original DVD in a stand alone or software player and simply using the on screen display to tell me which title is playing.
