Please don't flame me if this has been discussed ad nauseam. I have been using BD Rebuilder and most everything has been fine. Recently, BD-R's that were fine in the beginning have been having color issues upon playback. The color is not aligned properly. This occurs on a PS3 and with random discs and random titles burned at random times. It does not occur with playback on the PC.

Considering these issues, it seems Sony has updated the PS3 to prevent burned blu-ray playback, but it doesn't happen on all discs. Any help in this matter is greatly appreciated. I am frustrated and considering buying a stand alone player, if I can find one that will alleviate this problem.

Thank you.

Don't have the slightest idea what may be causing that color issue, but pretty sure it aint the ps3 been prevented from bd-r playback. If sony did that they'd have a pretty serious pissed of userbase on their hands.

@Ch3vr0n If sony did that they'd have a pretty serious pissed of userbase on their hands.C'mon. Not any more or less than will those trying to play Verance/"Cinavia" infected backup copies on "normal" PS3s (not hacked or jailbroken) with firmware newer than v.3.10...

Or the fact that Sony players are very very fussy and can and do refuse to play 'cheap' original discs that may be slightly off spec or not quite perfect enough for them to play, according to Sony

Put them in a cheapo no brand player and it will play ......
