I would love to Encode so that I am able to play my encoded file on PS3, Popcorn Hour, WD & XBOX 360. For this, what are going to be the settings? Or, Is there a profile by SHaRKTOOTH's MeGUI Presets?
And also, is AC3 audio compatible with these? Or AAC?
to play in the above mentioned devices, should I use .mp4 or .mkv?
Especially Help me with the Sharktooth's Megui prests or ready-made preset's because it's much easier that way to encode. I don't have a Huge Knowledge on making profiles except that I know to change some settings in the x264 using Megui.

No need to open yet another thread for this, so I've answered in your other one (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=163711).

Aren't they supposed to be compatible with the original DVDs (or BDs for the first three of them)? XBox game consoles are suposed to be compatible with HD-DVDs ...
If you love to reencode, however, you can test various profiles, which each works best with a player (the PS3 is based on Cell processor, the PCH on SMP8642, the WD TV on Realtek and who knows the GPU of Xbox :)). So your pleasure will be multiplied by 4.

.mkv won't work on PS3's, so you'll need to use .m2ts or .mp4 (If your files are already in .mkv containers you can just remux).

That's easy.... delete them. They're no longer used and chances are some of them are outdated.
As was explained in the other thread, simply load the x264 defaults, select the appropriate target playback device (and quality etc) and save the configuration as a new preset.

So you mean that Sharktooth's preset's are no longer valid? is it?

Stick to level 4.1, and also maintain DXVA compatible reference frame settings.
The simple method to find out the maximum number of reference frames is: 8388608 / Total pixels
1920x1080 = 4 Ref frames
1920x800 = 5 Ref frames
1280x720 = 9 Ref frames
1280x532 = 12 Ref frames
1024x576 and lower = 16 Ref frames
Also, for Xbox 360 you want this in the command line:
--vbv-bufsize 24000 --vbv-maxrate 24000
And for PS3:
--vbv-bufsize 31250 --vbv-maxrate 31250
The higher the bitrate the less likely your file will play smoothly. For this reason I would recommend sticking to 720p or lower, but your are welcome to test it yourself as YMMV.
