What more can you tell me about this .d2v file?

I'm trying to figure out whether this DVD movie is based on a real 24p source or if it was indeed shot entirely and interlacedly for TV broadcast.

It's a NTSC release of a French movie, but the whole thing appears to be interlaced and not just hard-telecined.

Various sources suggest it was a theatrical release, but I can't confirm.

I'm inclined to think it's a plain PAL-to-NTSC conversion of a TV movie, but I'm not yet able to interpret these .d2v files.

Can you help me out?

All the D2V can tell us here is that there is no soft pulldown.

Please post a link to a sample of the video to get a better analysis.

No, we need the *source* stream, not a lagarith encoding. Please post a fragment of the VOB. Use DGSplit to cut it. Or post an M2V by setting a range in DGIndex and then doing "save project and demux video".

The D2V is pretty useless for something like this. Only an examination of the fields can tell you what you have and how best to deal with it. It's common PAL to NTSC field-blended garbage. You have to unblend it:

Yadif(Mode=1)#or your favorite bobber
SRestore()
