View Full Version : Realtime hybrid mpeg2 1080i decode with ffdshow+avisynth

I've been trying to get help in the below thread to decode hybrid mpeg2 content (with IVTC, when applicable, and deinterlace when applicable) using ffdshow (libmpeg2) --> avisynth.

http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=163471

The problem is the people that are very good with avisynth, aren't necessarily experienced with ffdshow. I'm hoping someone can help me setup a general ffdshow mpeg2 decoder that can handle 1080i soft and hard telecined content; IVTC'ing when applicable and deinterlacing when applicable.

Can someone knowledgable in ffdshow + avisynth to help me out? I'm not sure where else to get help.

The video clips I'm trying to playback are mentioned the above thread.

EDIT: What makes this a little tricky is some of the videos I play switch back and forth between soft/hard telecine; so the FFdshow mpeg2 decoder and avisynth IVTC / deinterlacing need to be able to work well together.

Thanks a million,
