I just switched to XP & i can't seem to encode anything but pcm in Flask. The only codecs that show are mp3 & pcm but if i try to encode with mp3(i can see all samplingrates)i get an error.I remember all codecs showing up under win 98se but not now.I can see all codecs in device manager & also in virtual dub. Will changing priorities help?

Hi,
Stupid question maybe, but have you tried re-installing the codecs?
When you installed XP over Win 98 *shudder....sorry, I hate "upgrading" my OS...anyway* it might have somehow deleted your codecs.
Check your system32 directory. See if all your dll files that are supposed to be there are.
Try reinstalling the codecs. Can't hurt.
