Problem with reference frame

hi,

i'm thinking use ref 16 for making 720p(i dont care dxva) but ever time change my ref volue for dxva settings.Example my log says like this:

i change b-pyramid but still i have same problem. :confused:

The GUI he's using probably automatically reduces --ref to 12 to comply with level 4.1 at 1280x534 pixels (2.4:1 DAR), I doubt it has anything to do with the x264 command line. Try changing the level in your GUI to 5.0. (Though I would not recommend changing it, going above 12 ref frames will probably have only negligible effect on the quality, while hardware compatibility is greatly reduced, even if you don't care about DXVA, which btw. does support 16 ref frames on most hardware.)
