Any idea why the Blank button on vobBlanker is sometimes grayed out on a valid blankable Vob. Sometimes if I wait about 5 minutes, the button will become active.

No idea. Are you sure the titleset doesn't contain interleaved cells (multi-angle or multi-story titles)? VobBlanker can't process that titlesets.

Hi r01Z,

I'm not sure if I've ever seen a movie that has multi-angle or multi-story titles.

I have seen one or two movies that had an option to show little cue marks that popped up at various points in the movie; and purportedly they allowed the viewer to see something else if they somehow activated the selection cue at those points. I can't remember, however, what those movies were, or if I was able to figure out how to select the cue marks.

The movie I'm referring to in this thread didn't have any cue marks I could see, anyway.

What you are referring to is a technique to interrupt the main movie to play a bonus, based on BOVs (button over video). The most notorious example of that technique is the "Follow the White Rabbit" bonus of The Matrix. It is not related to the VobBlanker problem.

Multi-angle and multi-story DVDs are relatively frequent. Most Disney animations are multi-angle. For example, the names of the dwarfs in Snow-White are translated in the selected language in the movie images. And all dual versions (for example theatrical/director cut) of a single movie are authored using the multi-story technique.

Anyway, multi-angle and multi-story titles use interleaved cells, and VobBlanker doesn't support them. It should warn you when it detects them.
