Based upon many requests I put some work into enhancing the OneClick part of MeGUI. As it will take a lot longer than expected to finalize it, I decided to release a preview build of OneClick. I would like to hear your feedback: if it is developing in the desired direction, if there are any bugs, feature requests, ...
Changes so far:
xxxx improved OneClick encoder:
- added subtitle control (including delay, language, name, forced/default flag). Feature request #2752988
- enhanced audio control (added delay, language, name)
- AVS files as video input supported. Feature request #3412229
- folder as input supported. Feature request #3429875/#2773587
- embedded VOB subtitle support (IFO must be available)
- every OC job will be stored in a unique working directory. Feature request #2798486
- added option to select default audio/subtitle languages
- added option to select default working directory
- remember "Show Advanced Options" setting
- added option to specify the indexer priority
- added option to define the project name settings
- the x264 target playback device settings will be used for resizing
- Input DAR detection moved from postprocessing to initial opening step
- added DVD folder + file processing (including PGC support). Feature request #2817190
- convert TrueHD and DTS-HD tracks with eac3to when the track should be encoded
- added Blu-ray processing (Folder + Playlist)
Merged with official builds and not available as separate download anymore Use at your own risk! Also please do not update the MeGUI core with the built-in updater until the new OneClick tool has been added to the dev build.
How to test:
Install (extract) the build above to a directory (e.g. c:\tools\MeGUI).
Update MeGUI ("Options\Update") and update all files. At least one restart of MeGUI is required.
Disable AutoUpdate or make sure that you do not update anymore the core program as on the development server the OneClick changes are not included yet.

How can i use AviSynth plugins with new One -Click tool...Is it possible?
Which AviSynth Plugin do you want to use? You can add that to an AviSynth profile which can be added to an OneClick profile.
Can i use FFVideoSource() with One -Click tool?
Yes, FFVideoSource will be used automatically based upon the source detection and the priority of the indexer which you can specify in the OneClick profile.

How to use this ?
Copy and paste the files to the Megui directory?
Zathor

Yes, sorry, I forgot to include those details:
Install (extract) the latest stable build to a directory (e.g. c:\tools\MeGUI). This file can be found here:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/megui/files/latest/download
Switch in the MeGUI settings ("Options\Settings\Extra Config") the setting "Use stable update server" to "Use development update server". Update MeGUI ("Options\Update") and update all files. At least one restart of MeGUI is required.
Extract the files in the first post into the MeGUI folder replacing the existing files.
Disable AutoUpdate or make sure that you do not update anymore the core program as on the development server the OneClick changes are not included yet.

hi, I did as above and got the MEGUi working. It's great. Adding up avs and also many functions than the Stable version. I came across a problem I think. It's taking too long I think. Opening for NiCAudio encoding takes like a long time..

I can block that in MeGUI, but the strange thing is that on my system DTS-MA and DTS-HRA can be decoded with NicAudio (AC3 TrueHD fails)

Hi, I left the PC to encode and went to have a nap. Suprisingly, the encoding was going on. Though it's kinda slow comparing with the Normal MEGUi Build, the encoding is moving on.
The Audio was decoded and encoded to AAC

dts Core extraction in DTS HD. Seems work fine with DTS High Res. (CBR),
still in beta stage with DTS Master Audio (VBR) please report any problem.
Sometimes work, but not always.
Only decode the core.
Is very slow.
With eac3to (HD Streams extractor) work always.
Can decode lossless DTS-MA if ArcSoft decoder is installed.
Work fast.

WIth the OC, should I always Extract the audio and then use it
At the moment the audio files can only be extracted if a DGIndexer is used or the source is a MKV container. If an MKV file is used also subtitle streams can be extracted.
In all other cases it is required to demux the audio/subtitle streams on your own at first (it is planed to improve that step as well).
...or is it okay to just select a .mkv as the input and auto select the audio as the OC does?
Yes

Yes, that's of course the reason for testing. There will not be a OneClick and "TwoClick" tool in MeGUI. Nevertheless when you disable the "Show Advanced Options" there are less options. Which of the advanced options is confusing for you?

7th January 2012, 18:08
I understand all options because they are self explanatory.
I think the current main oneclick window is more compact and not so cluttered with options like the one in this thread.
I mainly encode in xvid avi and never include subtitles in a file so, for me, subtitle part of menu is redundant.
For me, audio language and audio delay are redundant as well.
All these things make new version of oneclick window not so appealing for me.

How about the Drag and Drop video/audio thing? That might come handy mate. And also, someway to check the Final Size using the Bitrate Calc would be nice. If we form the profiles right, it gives definite bitrates and megui loads the durations and all from the scripts. How about showing the Final Size and things before the encoding?

Your audio input file has no audio (at least that is what MediaInfo reports). I catch now that problem and you can try the build in the first thread again. I have updated it to 2093 inlcuding your bug fix. If the problem is still there please send me again the log file.
How about the Drag and Drop video/audio thing? I have tried to enable it quickly but failed. Will try it later again.

Why do you need to know the filesize before? If you target a specific file size you should enable that in the settings - if not you will get the final size at the end.

To know the filesize before an encode is finished, have to use the Bitrate Calc right? But what about encoding with settings for bitrates only? Then can't have a slight idea about the final output. So, knowing the Final Size is a plus information to the Encoder.

Are you sure that you are using MKVMerge 5.2.1? It looks like you are using 5.2.0 (or older) as the wrong track is extracted.
Oh, now I see the problem in your log. You are still connected to the stable update server... please switch it to the development branch and update all required files (make sure that you not include the core file). The "guide" is in my first posting.

Sorry. I hadn't updated the other files. I did now. I will encode once again and will tell more about it.
I updated started to encode. Another audio error. I also encoded by selecting the .dts file extracted from the .mkv file. But the audio error shows up.
I've PM you about the log.
PS: I think that the audio thing has to do with the channels mate. I started to encode a 5.1 DTS and it's on the process now. started audio encoding. The earlier file was 7.1 DTS
There isn't an option to down 7.1 to 5.1 using NiCAUDiO i guess. maybe that's the thing.
Can you check on that please?
Zathor
11th January 2012, 22:33
As I see in the log none of the three audio decoders can deal with your DTA-MA file. On all of my DTS-MA files I have been able to use FFAudioSource() but that failed for you too. Can you please try it once again with the new ffms release (r624) which I have added to the update server a few hours ago?
The real solution to your problem in order to avoid such problems will be to use eac3to to extract the dts core from your source file. This is planned but at the moment not available in the automatic OneClick process. As it requires more work than those simple fixes the last days it will not happen today, very likely not before the weekend and likely not this month. As a workaround you can extract the core dts with the "HD Streams Extrator".
meshaun
12th January 2012, 01:40
Hmm. I updated to the r624 and tried. Same thing mate. can it be because of the 7.1 to 5.1?
Zathor
12th January 2012, 07:01
Maybe, but I think I tried that also with a 7.1 DTS-MA track (no access to that at the moment).
EDIT: Are you able to upload a short sample? You can split the MKV with mkvmerge (mmg.exe).

Your sample-002.mkv is btw working without problems on my side. The 7.1 DTS-MA files is decoded without problems with FFAudioSource. I do not know why it is failing for you.

Decoded by the OC or HD Streams Extractor?
With the ctrl+f7, the audio is decoded fine but using the OC itself, the decoding fails it seems
Zathor

Directly with OC. I think I have used the same environment as you (W7 x64, AviSynth 2.6b2, ...) but for me your sample is working. Can you please upload your whole MeGUI directory (the update_cache subfolder is not required) including the demuxed dts file?

I tried the Foobar audio encoder to extract the audio and encode it. It works fine Zathor. Isn't there any method that you could implement something like that? Changes all codes? Anyway, what do you mean upload whole directory and dts? the dts is like 3 or 4 GB mate/
Zathor

Problem again . Inner Exception Null error. Will PM the log. I find the problem similar to this : If I use the HD Streams Extractor and extract the audio (DTS) and select it in the OC, the encoding takes place fine. The audio encoding goes okay. But when I only give the OC the mkv file to extract the DTS and go with it, it fails. Is the OC using the HD Streams Extractor? Or MKV Extract? and any new builds with the new x264 release?
Zathor
17th January 2012, 21:47
OC is using MKVExtract at the moment. But as said several times - that is working for me. Your extracted files cannot be opened.
meshaun
18th January 2012, 01:09
Hmm. I am going to use the ctrl+f7 until this is done mate. Because, that makes perfect encodes without hassle. If there is a way to use the HD Streams Extractor instead of the mkvextract, it will be great. that never made error's or problems for me. Anyway thanks for the concern.
Zathor
18th January 2012, 08:11
Nevertheless I would like to reproduce your problem. So if possible please upload the extracted DTS from the OC tool and also your MeGUI directory. If the DTS works for me it must be something on your system (missing Hali splitter or so but I do not know if for decoding some DTS files with FFAudioSource really an external dependency exists).
meshaun
18th January 2012, 16:06
Bonne Idee! Like I said, there was one encode which was okay, detected the audio itself and made a perfect rip. But not all encodes are like that. The .DTS will be over 1 or 2GBs mate. and you want my MeGUI directory? zip it and send a link or something?

With the latest build, tried a mkv and this time, it extracted the audio file fine. Made 2 encodes and they went smooth. The OC Detects the muxed subtitles. If I leave them, that's selected, encoding the output in a .mp4 makes subtitles burnt or hardcoded or just ignores the selected subs since mp4 doesn't have that option?

I know it's just a small thing, but MeGUI creates unique folders for all temporary files of "One Click"-encodes. They are correctly removed once the job finishes, but if it is canceled, the (empty) folder remains. Would be nice if it could be cleaned up if the Job is removed.
I also have to say that I think the "file size" option should be part of the Basic, or at least Default setting and belongs on the first page ("Output" section). I understand that it's predefined in the OC-profile, but to me this is about as basic as it gets. I quite often have to change it, and it's the ONLY value that I change frequently (on a per-encode basis).
Lastly, if I enter a new custom target size, it isn't remembered in the list of recently used custom file sizes.

You get "Short read while reading frame" while indexing your file with ffmsindex.exe. There is nothing I can do as this is a FFMS related problem. Please get in contact with the FFMS guys (e.g. http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=127037). But I assume that your source file is corrupt.

- folder as input supported (feature request #3429875)
[/LIST]
Thank you for impoving One Click Encoder!
Folder as input does not work as expected.
It asks confirmation after each encoded file - somewhat like "Do you want all the 87 files encoded" - then "Do you want all the 86 files encoded" etc - ruining whole idea of oneclick - so it could not do bunch of sliced DV AVIs overnight - because of confirmation needed for each file to encode (also it doe not matter really if you pressing YES or NO - result is the same).
Also for folder input it obeys working directory just for 1st file encoded - then switches to the source file directory.
Thank you for reading this

This has been changed a long, long time ago. Are you sure you are using the recent build in the first post? If yes please post the complete log (for a folder with two files).

It will always use the settings in the OneClick profile you have selected. Other settings are ignored. So you have to select the proper working directory in the profile.

Yes, I am using most recent MeGUI 2115 (svn) Developer Update Server from the first post in this thread.
I was trying to do that on both Win7/64 and Vista/32, also tried different location of source and work files.
It seems to work with 2 and 3 files OK. But asks confirmation in case of 4+ files in dir - for each file.
Log attached (DV AVIs -> 264 MKV).
Many thanks again

I get a .net framework error when trying to convert a dvd with multiple titles, in this case a TV-series dvd.
The error says DragDrop Registration did not succeed.
System.InvalidOperationException: DragDrop registration did not succeed. ---> System.Threading.ThreadStateException: Current thread must be set to single thread apartment (STA) mode before OLE calls can be made. Ensure that your Main function has STAThreadAttribute marked on it.
It happens right before it should start to encode video, and you can select continue and it starts to encode, and it results in a correct mkv file as far as I can tell.. Only a bit annoying as it happens in between every title of the DVD.
I looked at the log file and it doesn't show anything malicious..

Hi
I test new One-click interface, and I have some comments.
With full DVD structure no problem , but no possible to open rip (DVDDecrypter). Why not?
Now, if I need to convert set of the elementary stream (separated demux video, audio, "sub" files), to add additional audio or sub stream it is necessary double-click to audio(sub) tab. It seems to me that it isn't user friendly. Maybe can it is necessary to make additional button, which would add new audio or sub tab.
Also not friendly audio-->Encode field. Maybe its better to add (or rename) option "keep original audio"
And more filesize templates (like : DVD --> full, 1/2 , 1/3 , 1/4 , 1/6, CD --> full, 1/2 , 1/3 , 1/4 , 1/6, BD --> full, 1/2 , 1/3 , 1/4 , 1/6 etc.)
And one more
Now you add 3 settings view : "default", "basic" and "advanced". It seems to me, that Its no any basic difference between "default" and "basic". Maybe unite "default" and "basic", named "basic"? And add new settings view "Expert"?
Functional "basic" leave like now "default",
With "Advanced" like now, but without possibility to choose any encoders templates (user can choose video, audio , sub streams; video codec, encode mode for audio; output resolution, autocrop, keep input resolution, aspect ratio, deinterlacing; filesize, splitting, container etc.)
End "Expert" like now "Advanced" : user can modify all option by manual.
I hope that my comments will appear useful.
P.S. English is not my native. I hope for understanding.

No clue. Does DVDDecrypter provide a DVD structure (IFO + VOB)? Please provide all file names in your directory.

I mean, that when I open DVD like a "file" or "folder" from folder on HDD, or from, DVD-ROM, its no problem - One-Click determine all streams correct.
But, if I and riped by DVDDecrypter(or other tool) only needed streams , One-Click don’t want to work with result files (IFO+VOB).

Hi, now MeGUI does the DTS properly. I mean with the last updates to use NiCAUDiO I guess.
Now, TrueHD audio problem. I have to use the HD Streams Extractor and then convert it and mux the audio. Can't you add a feature like,
HD Streams Extractor in the same OneClick window and selecting the TrueHD, and leaving it, and in the end, MeGUI encodes the TrueHD and then takes the encoded audio and muxes it automatically? So, there is no need of using HDSE, again and then the OC again.

I've been encoding a lot of tv-series dvds lately, and I'm wondering if it's possible to sort the pgcs by number (pgc 1, 2, 3 etc.). As it is now I believe it's sorted by runtime?
It's not really a huge thing, but It's a bit annoying to have to go through all encodes afterwards and sort them into the correct episode order.
This "problem" only occurs when the episodes are on seperate pgc's on a single VTS.

Just some small bugs I noticed in the beta onclick encoder that might could be easily cured in the next revision.
Selecting folder for input where the folder is a video_ts DVD folder. If the file names are not correct and the dvd folder cannot be parsed, there is no way out of the selection box other than task manager to force megui closed.
No way to cancel or close the selection box.
Also noticed that the onclick routine fails to load the next file for some oddly named video files. It errors just after adding the video and audio jobs to the queue but not the next idx and oneclick. The files had ... and some spaces as part of the file name. Renaming all the files and they flowed normally.

Yes, do not download it from the update server. Use the one included in the zip file.

Thanks for the details. I am now able to reproduce the problem. External subtitle files will not be muxed. This will be fixed in the next build - should be available in the next days.

Not sure if I should be posting this here or not, but using the dev builds with the new OneClick enhancements, is there a way to make it include audio when using AVISource? It always says internal audio track 1 has to be skipped because AVISOURCE is being used, yet I know for fact that settings audio=true in the AVISource line in the AVS file works just fine.
And on top of that, even if I have AVISource at the bottom of the list of which method should be used to open the file, it still uses it, even though the file indexer is at the bottom and works fine when using it standalone ( Audio works as well ).

It will be added in the future.

Any ETA?

It's also worth noting that while E:\working\akgyog12.z0b\magusi_Video.mp4 exists, the muxed/processed file that it was supposed to create ( E:\Rendered\reenc\magusi.mp4 ) does not.
Edit: And can you please make it continue with the rest of the jobs if one has an error?

Any ETA?
No. If you provide a patch it will be faster.

2191 [File Indexer] added DFSC/VFW and CFHD/CINEFORM to the list of not by FFMS supported codecs
DFSC is not supported by FFMS and therefore AVISOURCE will be used.
It's also worth noting that while E:\working\akgyog12.z0b\magusi_Video.mp4 exists, the muxed/processed file that it was supposed to create ( E:\Rendered\reenc\magusi.mp4 ) does not.
? Have to verify this.
EDIT: found & fixed.

That is already the case. Only if in batch processing the first part of the jobs are failing, the following files will not be processed.

Can you tell me where I need to look? I have no experience but it doesn't seem like it would be hard or time consuming to add. Since AVISource is required to pull in frameserving, this is pretty much useless without such an options ( Since I have to go back and encode the audio separately, then remux the files... Might as well just manually make the avs file that has audio=true at that point, less work overall. )
That is already the case. Only if in batch processing the first part of the jobs are failing, the following files will not be processed.
I'm not sure I understand what you're saying? If one job fails to index it's file ( broken file or simply a hiccup since it never retries to make sure it's really broken ), every other job that would normally be spun up after it is never put in the job list and thus never takes place ( Because for whatever reason one click doesn't add every file to the pending jobs list ahead of time like it should ). It just dies right there ( Kind of annoying to wake up to that in the morning, so many encoding hours lost! ).

Doing some tests on the new one click system i ran into a odd issue. When doing an encode of a dvd output depends of whether the input file (.vob) has been splitted into multiple files or it is one big file:
Case 1: Using unstable (2231): Using dvd decrypter split set to none. Produces 1 .vob file. Input is 2.38 hour. Output is 1.16 hour.
Logfile: http://pastebin.com/698AZGRA
Correct chapter is selected and is shown as the correct length but still whole vob is not processed and over half the movie is missing in the output file:
http://static.inky.ws/image/3500/pgc-megui.jpg
Case 2: megui unstable (2231) Using dvd decrypter split set to 1 gb. Produces 4 .vob files. Input is 2.38. Output is 2.38
This work.
Case 3: Using megui-stable: Using dvd decrypter split set to none. Procuces 1 .vob file. Input is 2.38. Output is 2.38
This also works, so something must be off in the later versions.
Best regards

for some reason ... when using one click encoder the audio and video are always 2seconds out of sync after encoding
strangest part is... when using normal avs script => auto-encode way it is perfectly in sync
:-/

Please post the log of both encodings.
Doing some tests on the new one click system i ran into a odd issue. When doing an encode of a dvd output depends of whether the input file (.vob) has been splitted into multiple files or it is one big file: MeGUI is using now pgcdemux to process VOB files if there is more than one PGC. Either DVDDecrypter is producing wrong IFO information or pgcdemux is reading those information not correctly when using one VOB file. In both cases I cannot fix it so please split the VOB files.
