Total confused over Denoising!

hey all!

I've been testing deen,dup,FFT3DFilter(with HQDn3D)
on a particular video source along with brew of my some custom made settings of awarpsharp and all (these remains same for all the tests)

Now, since, I'm total newbie, (plus having my eyes donated thrice to a local hospital), I couldn't decide which one to use as all of them looks quite equal to me.

So Wondering if anyone could help me to tell which one does the better result!

For deen:
deen("a2d",5,4,5)

For dup:
dup(threshold=0.3,copy=true)

For FFT3DFilter(with HQDn3D):
FFT3DFilter().HQDn3D(ls=1.0, cs=1.5, lt=3.0, ct=3)

As you spend more and more time looking at this stuff, you begin to get a much better feel for what looks better and what doesn't. But in the end, it mostly comes down to preference. You can ask 5 people "which looks better" and get 5 different answers. Which looks better to you? That's all that matters here. And if you can't tell the difference, then is it really worth fretting over?
The samples you have provided are basically useless, because I can tell immediately that you are applying other filters besides just the ones you are asking about. There is some sharpening and line darkening going on. Also, you supplied low quality JPG files, which don't show us much of anything because they have JPG compression artifacts on them. And finally, some of these filters operate temporally (across frames), so still screenshots don't give the whole picture.

But basically, if they all look "fine" to you, I'd just personally suggest to pick the fastest.
You may also want to try FFT3DGPU instead of FFT3DFilter. Unless of course your machine is really old, in which case any of those would be really heavy.
Maybe except for Dup, don't mind my blabber though. :P
