I simply cannot get BD rebuilder to recode any audio to AC3 without getting a message similar to this since I first started using it well over a year ago.
ERROR in attempt to reencode audio (AFTEN) [AUD_00001__4352.AVS]
Since this already occurred on 5 machines all with older P4 HT technology and Win xp sp3, I assume it's something inherent with the combination of the older technology.
And to be fair, I also tried this with a clean install and also on a laptop with a i5 intel processor, though using win xp as well with both failing. Could it be memory deficiency as non of these machines have more than 2gb of ram?
Interestingly, it will create the empty AC3 file but Aften.exe shuts down almost instantaneously then cmd.exe and wavi.exe as drwtsn32.exe debugger is called. Resuming BD reb only enables the same fail message again and again.
This appears to be similar to what MCnDaHouse experiences in this http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1478257#post1478257
And like him I have changed setting which avoid the issue, by keeping HD audio and not forcing an audio recode. It works great this way for a BD 25, but not if you want to compress down to a BD 5 or 9 and need to encode audio.
If anybody had this same problem and fixed it, or is still experiencing it, please maybe it can help or at least we can compare notes. Please help.
