Help MP4 recorded on Samsung SMX C20 SD cam

Hi everyone,
i am a complete newbie. I recorded some video on my holiday and they are all in mp4 format.
Some of them i can play back some i cant. After weeks of trying to fix these i have come to a dead end. It seems to be the camera has not correctly closed the movie clips. they are in mp4 format and i can see the file sizes are large but no movie player will open them, nor can i convert them.

Please can an expert help me in this i would be really grateful

Which players have you tried? VLC or MPC-HC with internal MP4 splitter? Could you upload a small sample file (to MediaFire for example, < 50 MB clip would be good)?

Hi I have tried in VLC, quicktime, even tools like mp4demux wont open it

Yep, seems to be corrupted, although the MOOV atom does exist. Since you have working files too, the broken ones might be repairable with some tool. Try this demo for a start: http://grauonline.de/cmsimple2_6/en/?Solutions:HD_Video_Repair_Utility

Unfortunately it's not available as a Windows binary, and I don't have readily access to a Win32 build environment. Would you happen to have Linux installed somewhere?

I could set up MinGW later, but it may take a week or two.
