View Full Version : Dscaler 5 IVTC mod

I am for the first time trying to IVTC a .TS file (60fps). Now ive intalled Dscaler 5.0.0.8 and replaced the 2 .dll's that need replacing for the mod to work. I had to turn off DEP to access the settings, but whatever settings i use, i cant get the 60fps video to decimate to 24p (i am using madVR btw). MediaInfo tells me the file is Progressive, but i dont think it is (or was). Anyway im supposed to bo able to IVTC this .TS file to 24p right?

Is there something im missing, is this file not able to be IVTC'd? Im really wanting this to work as i hear great things about the Dscaler 5 IVTC mod.

Yesss, Mediainfo thinks the file is progressive:

Width : 1 280 pixels
Height : 720 pixels
Display aspect ratio : 16:9
Frame rate : 59.940 fps

AFAIK, only the heights 480, 576 and 1080 may be properly encoded (or flagged) as "interlaced".

Anyway im supposed to bo able to IVTC this .TS file to 24p right?

the IVTC mod doesn't work for me AT ALL. 1080i30 material just exhibits lots of combing.

It will exhibit a lot of combing on the 30fps sections of 30i VFR material, only the 24fps sections will look clean afaik. Are you making sure to set the IVTC options in DScaler properly, and using both the 2005 plus the newer component from the 2006 version of the mod?

Yes and I'm using reference 3:2 pulldown blu-ray material.
