I'm a Newbie to all of this, and I read the vStrip Guide and followed the instructions. I got my .VOB's but what now? Witch program do I have to use, if I can't use FlaskMPEG to get my DivX movie???

Thanks for any suggestions.

You might want to review Doom9's guides. I know, that sounds like RTFM, but they can be really helpful. If you've been through them already, please forgive me.

You'll find they are organized by what you want to do. Then by toolset. You haven't said what you intend to do. But, here is an example:

The first webpage when you click on the Guides has: DivX guides
VCD&SVCD Guides
miniDVD Guides
DVD to DVD-R/W Guides
Subtitle Guides
Audio related
Format Conversion GuidesIf I select DivX, I get explanations and guides for: DivX3.x
DivX4
XvidSelecting DivX4 I get additional explanations and guides for: Xmpeg GKnot VirtualDub & VFAPIand on the same page a series of DivX Manipulation Guides
DivX autorun guide - how to make CDs that start playing and install the DivX codec if needed
Guide to Manual Synching - last updated 11/12/00
Cutting and Joining DivX files - and as a bonus: how to joining DivX low mo and high mo
Micro DVD Player Guide - last updated 7/29/00
Splitting Guide - how to split your DivX files
VirtualDub Guide - how to compress audio in VirtualDub and join AVIs with WAVs. Why did you pick vStrip to start with?

I tryed to use FlaskMPEG, but it reads only one .VOB . Then I tryed DVD2AVI like in the guide mentioned about multiangles and I get extentions that no program that I have can read. So I'm a little confused.

So my question is: When I ripped a DVD with vStrip, what do I have to do next to get a DivX movie out of the .VOB's?

It is so simple. Read the guides!!!
If you create project with dvd2avi (you should end-up with the file with the .d2v extension), load it into Gknot (the best tool for Newbies - make sure you read the guide), create .avs, load it into Nandub or VirtualDub (you can also set Gknot to do this for you) and start encoding. That's it.
take care

You'll notice that Doom9 recommends SmartRipper for GKnot. vStrip is a fallback for DVD's that are too complicated for SmartRipper.
