Does anybody know about a hp or a board,
where MDVD-made-Menues can be shared!

would be much easier to modify an existing menue then building completely new.

I have most of my movie with microDVD menus and i would like to exchange some Menus stuff with other people!

I agree with you SweetHome... Make a Menu from zero gives lots of work!

I am also interested in locating a site or irc channel to share menues. I have done alot of menues. When I make MDVD menues, I always try to make it as close as possible to the original DVDs(ie, with ALL company logos, animation loops, stills, cast, production notes, etc.) leading to writing code for anywhere from an average of 20-150 pages, taking 1 or more days to complete. The toughest ones I've completed include Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within(the menu avi was over 100MB,and the INI had code for 53 pages) and Rush Hour 2(which had code for over 100 pages). As you can tell by the page lengths I keep all specials and most(if not all options) intact.
While on this subject, I was just wondering what level of detail do other people(such as yourselves) put into your menues?

Tsaxman2002,

I trying to do the most similar Menus i can too, but just when i have access to the original DVD. I trying to including the special features and all pages i can, and if i have space to waste i rip the animated Menus from the original DVD and put them in my rip. I have great ones and soon i will put some online to download.

Other important thing, i do all menus in english because it's a universal language! ;)

I would love to upload some of my menues, however, almost ALL of of my menues(with menu avis & jpegs) range from 40MB-120MB(60MB average). If you have or know of somewhere with the space I'd gladly contribute.

Instead of uploading the large menu avi's, why not include a text file with details of resolution, max. key frame interval, and anything else that would enable someone else to rip the menu to fit your ini file.

BTW isn't uploading the menu breaking any copyright laws (or something else?!?), just like uploading a movie? Could be a bit risky.

Goldfinger,
TO be technical, your break the law the minute you copy ANY of the Vobs onto your hard drive. Also to create this MDVD menues(whether you share or not), is considered reverse-enginneering(also a copyright violation). Even though this line of questioning seems to be the world's oldest thread, according to the MPAA & US law, the opinion seems to be that the WHOLE concept of Divx is ILLEGAL.(Unless you are copying your home movies you shot yourself with your own camera.)

Yes there are risks because, technically, whether you download a complete package or just the ini & assemble it yourself,or even do it all yourself from the start, it's just as illegal.

I'd like to see your work! ;)

If all of us share the menus that will be great! I count with you!

Go to my page: www.divxgoodies.web.pt and then to uploads section where you will find some FTP's address where you can upload your menues.
