Trying to convert AVI to DVD

Help. I'm a newbie at this converting. I have finished a AVI file using Windows movie maker. The file is only 30Mb.

I wish to make this into a working DVD that I can play on any DVD player.

I downloaded ANY VIDEO CONVERTER and installed.

I took the Movie maker files and tried to convert to MPEG2. For some reason I got a error trying to convert.

I then tried using Nero Express. It appeared that it would convert and burn into a DVD file. This didnt work either.

Any help would be great.
