I have an avi file that I captured from an analog source. The computer crashed while recording, so it got corrupted.
Normally I'd just repair it with VirtualDub, but this time it can only recover the first 7 minutes out of ~2.5 hours. I've tried with every program that you can find using Google (DivX Fix, Avifixed, or whatever), but everything gives the same result.
Now I noticed that VLC can actually recover the full 2.5 hours, it's able to seek and playback everywhere without problems.
But it seems to only repair it temporarily for its own playback. How do I save this fully working version?
