Hi, first post on this site. Despite all my efforts, I'm just not knowldegeable enough to solve this issue.
I've spent days trying to properly backup my Blu-rays by transcoding Blu-ray source material so I can play it on my media players (Linksys DMA2100).
The media player can play 1920x1080 material in a certain format (Bitrate below 19 mbit/s, I believe interlaced).
I've been trying to use TMPGenc Masterworks 5 to create a profile that works to transcode a Blu-ray to a compatible Mpeg2 format. I've had some success but still not acceptable quality (stutters, artifacts).
Here is a clip of Over The Air broadcast 1920x1080 video that the media player plays perfectly:

I'm trying to create a profile in TMPGenc Master works 5 that exactly matches this sample video specs. Although I can generally create one lowering the bitrate, I'm missing something since it's still not playing nearly as well.
I know that changing the video to Interlace makes a massive difference so I believe that's necessary.
If anyone can take this sample video and create an exact profile or tell me the extremely detailed specs (beyond the obvious) I'd be very grateful.
Thanks for your help!
