Okay, some questions about avisynth and decomb (from a complete newbie=)).
1. The right way to load a vob is through the mpeg2dec.dll and
a .d2v file, right? Because when I tried DirectShowSource, the
content was already deinterlaced. Because I have powerdvd installed
that does bobbing or something? (and I suppose decomb is preferred..
or is the directshow-deinterlacing good enough?).
2. I'm keeping it simple, so... telecide() for pal progressive(film)
content, telecide+decimate(5) for ntsc progressive stuff, and
fieldDeinterlace() for pal nonfilm stuff.. is it that simple?
3. What about ntsc nonfim stuff... what do I do about that?
4. FieldDeInterlace works in a similar way to the smart
deinterlacer, right?
5. And when done, it is just to use virtualdub to save
as avi.. ?
Sorry for the many questions, but when you're a newbie you
always _KNOW_ you're doing something wrong.. =p
