BD (Transformers 3) ripped using the latest AnyDVD. I get this message when trying to code to a regular single sided DVD ?

You're trying to keep HD audio and the combination of all the selected streams is larger than the target. HD audio is huge, and even a BD-25 can run out of space. My recommendation is to either keep the core ore reencode the audio.

I'll give it a try. I've never had an issue with BD-25's so just left my default Setup.Thanks.

It gets a lot further now but is crapping out on the second pass with

x264 has stopped working. It restarts but craps out again on the second pass. I get this once in awhile when coding BD's to BD-25's although, eventually, it makes it through and the BD-25 plays fine.

As far as I know, all my software is the latest versions (from your list).

As far as I know, all my software is the latest versions (from your list). That's almost assuredly a sign of a system that is not completely stable. If you're overclocked, back it down a notch or two.

Ya, it's been overclocked for almost 3 years now. Never had or have an issue with anything else I use. The same movies, along with dozens more were converted from BD to BD-25 without issue, including this one. I tried another one. Same issue.

I'll back it down a bit and see what happens.

I'll back it down a bit and see what happens. That's not unusual. X264 (especially in pass 2) is the ultimate test of overclocking. It will find issues when nothing else will. I'd be willing to bet your problems go away with a clock adjustment. When you're pushing the envelope all it takes is a little dust accumulation on your heatsink or something similar to start this kind of issue on an overclocked system.

Are you in the Northern or Southern hemisphere? In the south it's spring and temps are rising -- I often get these kind of reports when ambient temps start to rise.

I'm in Montreal... it's getting cooler here :-)

I pulled it back a touch and had the same failure. I'll pull it back a lot just to see if it completes. I won't have a chance till tomorrow night.

I's an E8400 @ 3.6

I pulled it back to 3.5

I'll pull it back to 3 and give it another go.

So, pulled it back to 3 and all is well.

It's dusty :-)

With a little vacuuming you may be able to clock'er back up a little.
