Hi, help me to understand, my BD is a LG bd550 update to last firmware and all my movies except 2 not play see picture http://i54.tinypic.com/30wng29.jpg this file in mkv plays well from usb

3926kbps
1280x720
16:9
23.976fps
avc high @4.1
cabac /9 ref frames
I used tsmuxer to create BD disk like the others that plays ok but this one have something that no play well from the disk, so please help me to understand, thanks for any help.

Well if the player plays the same video fine when using the USB input but it doesn't play it properly when it's burned to disc, maybe the quality of the disc burning is the problem. Have you tried a different brand of discs, or playing the discs using your PC etc?
If you can't test the quality of the discs, sometimes a way to determine if they're at least reasonable is to copy the files from the discs back to the PC. If the drive obviously slows down and speeds up while it's trying to read the disc then chances are it's having trouble reading it which means the quality of the burn isn't very good.

Isn't 3 ref frames the maximum for Bluray player compatibility?

Thanks for your reply but the disk is the same quality of others that play well, and it plays well on my pc and i riped it on my laptop running Mint plays well from the stream folder inside the disk,

It funny but on other disk same brand I have two movies the first plays like this one and the other plays fine thaks.

Did you use weightp=2 (standard value) when encoding? LG players are known to have problems with that. Apparently they only fixed it for mkv files, but not for Blu-Ray structures, as no disc on the market actually uses that feature. This was true for the LG BD370, it seems that it just might also be true for the newer models like the 550.
If the file was created with x264 you might be able to review your encoding settings with Media Info, to see if weightp is indeed the cause.

sneaker_ger maybe you are right "weightb=1 / open_gop=0 / weightp=2" is part of the present in this 2 movies and on the movies that plays ok "weightb=1 / open_gop=1 / weightp=1" and the ref frames are 5, and the last firmware still not solve the problem, so thanks.

I can say that if your file in MKV or M2TS as this "weightb=1 / open_gop=1 / weightp=1" on the MediaInfo the disk will play on LG BD550 with no problems, thanks to point me to the correct location.
