MPC-HC *.ts splitter issues

I have many files that don't work with MPC's splitter and many that don't work with Haali's.

I guess it's probably the files being out of spec because of how many sources they can come from. I don't have a fix til this day. Maybe remux everything as matroska? You'll lose some stuff in the .ts, but you won't miss it. Sorry :(

Confirmed black screen with MPC-HC's internal .ts splitter. I demuxed with dgavcindex and then remuxed to .mkv and it still doesn't work with Haali Media Splitter though. The problem may be with the stream in the file itself.

Yep, that H264 stream is not "healthful", so to speak. I demuxed it with TSmuxer, and this said the damn .264 appears NOT to contain framerate info :confused: MPlayer accepts it, but also with some warnings. Of course, LAV Splitter swallowed the .ts happily :p However, the ArcSoft H264 Splitter connects to the File Source filter, BUT does not create an output pin :scared:

Midzuki, try to remux any h264 stream, and most if not all lack the framerate info. I guess it's just how it is with a h264 video streams.

It seems to me the actual problem in that H264 stream is not related to its lack of "framerate info" anyway.

I still think the most prudent P.O.V. in cases like this is, "it depends" :)
I can only say I have created very-few .H264 streams "worth watching" so far :o, BUT all of them were created with x264.exe, and all of them include "fps-info", to the best of my memory.

Yes but you cant expect that every cutter is going to copy that info ;) especially applications that only work by simple hard cutting without carying or knowing any bitstream metadata @ all ;)

Very true :o , that's just an "irrelevant detail" :D that the sluuuggish me :o hadn't noticed yet :o
